Washington Unified School District (WUSD) has identified Focus Standards for Mathematics for grades K–5. While these are not the only Common Core State Standards taught in math, they represent the key standards our instructional teams have determined are most essential at each grade level.

 

To support families in understanding these standards and how they can reinforce learning at home, Southport has developed Key Math Standards documents for each grade level. The first page of each document provides an explanation of the identified standards along with suggestions for how families can support their child’s learning at home. The reverse side includes sample problems similar to those students may encounter on assessments, quizzes, or tests, offering families a clearer picture of how student learning is evaluated.

 

At this time, these documents are available in English only. However, we are actively working to translate them so that they will be accessible in multiple languages for our multilingual families. You can click on the links below to access PDFs of each document.
