Southport Elementary School

According to the state of California, more than three absences a year is excessive. Please help your child have excellent attendance by scheduling routine doctor and dental appointments during school breaks if possible. Please also schedule family vacations while students are on a break.

 

If you know your student will miss five or more consecutive days of school, please contact the Southport office for information on Independent Study. This will give teachers a chance to put a packet of assignments together so your child does not miss important learning opportunities.

 

Please call all illnesses and absences in to the office. We also have an answering machine turned on 24 hours a day to report absences. Thanks!!
